Calling Rio

"Calling Rio" is a Bossa Nova/Samba/Jazz group based in San Diego, CA. Our playlist includes Jobim, Gilberto, Sergio Mendes, as well as a selection of American jazz vocal classics and jazz-inspired Brazilian and American pop from artists including CeU, Norah Jones, Joni Mitchell, Roxy Music and Charlie Hunter. We are a 4-5 piece band and can also perform as a trio or a duo for more intimate settings. "Calling Rio's" combination of cool, laid-back jazzy Brazilian beach vibe, uptempo street samba, swinging American classics, smoky ballads and funky pop will be a perfect fit for your event!
