HOX is an American rock band ages 15 to 17. The band was formed in San Diego, California, by singer and rhythm guitarist Marshall Holland (17) and lead guitarist/backing vocalist Preston Holland (17). Later, Johnny Steele (15) became the band’s drummer and Adrian Holtz (17) became the band’s bassist in 2014.
Marshall and Preston Holland met Johnny Steele while in the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts jazz ensemble. Adrian Holtz joined the HOX after playing a jazz gig with Johnny Steele at a local jazz club.
Some of the band’s many musical influences include, Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, Iron Maiden, Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, Dream Theater, Megadeth, Metallica, and Van Halen.
