Tim Atkins

San Diego

Acoustic blues, roots of rock, folk, classic country and original material.
My song "Roof of Hell" was awarded second place in the San Diego Songwriters Guild "Performing Songwriter Competition". It's inspired by the 200+ year old haiku by Kobayashi Issa :
“In this world
we walk on the roof of hell
gazing at flowers”
I have many years of experience performing live and enjoy interacting with audiences.

We stumbled upon The Baja Blues Boys one evening at Bolt Brewery and what a find! They are so fun even if you don't 'think' you like blues! Tim, the lead singer, well, let me just say, from his vocals, I didn't expect him to look like he does ha ha! What a GREAT voice! Go see them! I guarantee you will enjoy them and just feel good!

Anytime I walk into a joint and the band or performer is playing "Folsom Prison Blues," I know everything's gonna be all right. You can't go wrong with Tim!

Hi, I am French. I had the chance to see (no, hear... ;) Tim performing at the Papagayo couple years ago when I was working in San Diego. It has been a loving experience ro be there with friends accompanied with Tim's voice and guitar. I am a blues fan so was very happy to live this event and hope I'll have the chance to share one more when I will come again in SD :) Cheers Tim ! jp

I live on the East Coast but always try to catch Tim's shows when I make it to San Diego. Good music and a great time everytime!

Definitely a 5 stars artist, an awesome performer, a great musician and a fantastic writer. Tim has a very refined sense of humor. On top of this, he is a beautiful person inside and out. Don't miss his performances, you won't regret it!
