Aim For The Engine
Started in 2012 Aim For The Engine (AFTE) began as a three piece high energy, post-punk rock band from San Diego, Ca. The idea for AFTE began to evolve after Steve Smith (guitar/vox) and Scott Vincent (drums) found themselves without a bass player. Steve recruited long time friend Jeremy Lee (bass/vox) and AFTE was born. The idea was simple, to play music we love and have fun doing it. AFTE rocked as a three piece for three years playing San Diego venues such as The Kensington Club, The Casbah, House of Blues, The Tower Bar, Last Call, Til Two Club, The Void, and Main Tap. In 2015 Steve and Jeremy recruited another longtime friend and previous band mate Rick Blaine (guitar) and AFTE officially became a four piece. Since becoming a four piece AFTE has played local venues such as The Bancroft, Til Two Club, and the Tower Bar. AFTE influences include (but are not limited to) Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters, Alkaline Trio, Face To Face, Sponge, Nirvana, Silversun Pickups, Quicksand, Filter, Screeching Weasel, Anberlin, Acceptance, Yellowcard, Saosin, The Starting Line, Green Day, Iron maiden, Cartel, Armor For Sleep, Black Sabbath, Coheed and Cambria, Hank Williams and SLAYER.
