Michael Rennie of Rio Peligroso
Michael Rennie: Acoustic rock, Americana, country and folk
For more than 12 years Michael Rennie has fronted Rio Peligroso, San Diego’s premier “deep cuts desert rock jukebox” (San Diego Reader). Now, Rennie steps out from the safety net of a band to perform solo acoustic gigs.
Mining the same fertile soil that made Rio Peligroso a mainstay at venues like Humphrey’s Backstage, the Riviera Supper Club, Adams Avenue Street Fair, Bar Pink, the Kraken, Wynola Bistro (Julian, CA), Carlee’s (Borrego Springs, CA) and Pappy and Harriet’s (Pioneertown, CA), Rennie performs deep-cuts classic rock, traditional and outlaw country, oldies, oddities and more from artists like the Byrds, Neil Young, Jason Isbell, Bruce Springsteen, Whiskeytown, Willie Nelson, the Everly Brothers and more.
