The Star Bandits

The Star Bandits are a touring banjo and guitar duet with an energetic and magical sound. We have many originals songs with harmony vocals and instrumental solos. Our music is inspired by the people we meet and the wonders of natures we encounter on the road. We have been on tour the past three years traveling the United States. We play professionally at wine bars and brewery's, and our taste and passion for local food has led us to playing at farmers markets. Originally from Madison,Wisconsin, we packed our instruments bought a sprinter van and started touring the California coast. We are excited to record Our second album and keep the tour van weels turning.

My Name is Matthew Huz. I have been performing for over 15 years in Southern California and Internationally. I play crowd favorites from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and today. With a quality range, singing everything from Johnny Cash to Bob Marley, The Beatles and Rhianna. Carrying good vibes, quality stage presence and large vocals, I know how to keep your patrons happy and spending money at your establishment. I'm Leia, a singer/songwriter specializing in original acoustic pop songs. I play both guitar and ukulele, and also have a variety of cover songs in the pop and alternative genres. My style is best suited for a coffee shop or farmer's market type of venue, however I also have experience playing at bars and pubs. The hourly rate does not include a PA as I do not have access to one at this time, so one will need to be provided unless you're looking for an un-plugged experience.

During 40 years as a stand-up comedian music became a bigger part of my performance. Music that I played on guitar while impersonating famous singers. Now I perform great classic songs with very few jokes and a few friends. While I can work solo, I love to work with other musicians. As a duo with Nacho or Miles Pelky on drums makes a solid sound that is contagious. Crowds sing along with classic tunes I sing, tapping there toes with the unique style of music.
