In the wake of the economic crisis of 2008, aspiring musician Steph Johnson made a brave choice: The singer/guitarist chose to abandon her 12-year career in banking and pursue her dreams of making music full-time. It wasn't the only time the intrepid Johnson would eschew the safe decision. In 2011, Johnson had already released two albums and was clearly on the way up in the soul/R&B musical genre with jazzy undertones. In fact, her second CD won an SDMA for "Best Jazz Record" without actually being a jazz document. Later that year, Johnson didn't just switch horses in mid-stream, she switched streams. A chance encounter with double-bassist Rob Thorsen at the Ocean Beach Music & Arts Festival led to a drastic change in direction for her music and unique songwriting style. Forming a trio with Thorsen and young drum phenom Fernando Gomez the group recorded her 3rd CD “Nature Girl” and headed out on multiple tours of the southwest and west coast as well as numerous festivals and concerts in Mexico. The groups new sound had a decided jazzy influenced textures and featured her guitar playing as well as her soulful velvety vocals.

The Eric Evans Project

The Eric Evans Project is a collaboration of talented musicians that perform popular cover, and original Music. Styles of genres include Rock, Jazz Pop, Acoustic, Blues, R&B, Soul. This collaboration features Eric Evans who is a multi-woodwind instrumentalist and stellar vocalist Danielle Evans. Danielle, a Opera Performance Major, has an incredible range and performs music by such artists as Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Chaka Khan and many others. Eric plays flute, alto flute, EWI, (a unique sounding electronic woodwind instrument that can play many sounds). His album "Wave of Grace" Eric has captured many fans all over the world. With three of his songs reaching #1 in England in 2016.

A unique, innovative and accomplished flutist, Bradley Leighton has pushed the boundaries of flute playing in new and exciting ways. Elizabeth Bowersox

A classically trained vocalist with a rock and roll edge, singer-songwriter Elizabeth Bowersox embodies a vocal purity and natural musical grit that shines through in her dynamic performance style. Rooted in musical theater and opera, Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder, where her studies equipped her with the stamina for a long winded career in music. An evolution began when she picked up the guitar during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading her to discover songwriting and ultimately adopt a multitude of new genres into her repertoire. Elizabeth regularly performs solo acoustic sets throughout San Diego county, while simultaneously fronting her new rock band, Bowersox. She is inexorably lighting fires in the San Diego music scene, showcasing her unique range with catchy new melodies and quintessential crowd-pleasers.

Michael McGraw and the Tin Rattlers

Musician from San Diego, CA. With the help of his band the Tin Rattlers, Michael creates a twangy Alt-Rock vibe, combining overdriven guitars with the heartfelt melodies of a modern singer/songwriter. The result is a Folk Rock vibe with a Brit Rock attitude. He has released two EP’s (2009 and 2011) and one full length record (2015). The band is currently in the studio with a new album slated for early 2020.

Ezekiel Morphis

Ezekiel Morphis is an Americana/Folk singer-songwriter based in San Diego, California. His songs have been previously described as “wonderfully intimate melodies that are just as beautiful as the words they carry.” Ezekiel grew up listening to iconic musicians like Cat Stevens and The Smiths who helped shape his musical identity. His music is lyrically driven with a poetic base. Each song has ties to nature and wilderness due to his previous careers in outdoor guiding and past with the San Diego Zoological Society. His latest EP “Storied” was produced and recorded with Steve Shirk (Joe Pug and Justin Townes Earle), which followed his first EP “Unquiet Mind” that was produced and recorded with Jonathon Jones (We Shot the Moon, Waking Ashland). Ezekiel is currently working on a new album that will be titled “Haro Strait”. This new album came together while he was staying on the San Juan Islands of Washington, working as an adventure guide and performing shows. Ezekiel has performed 50+ shows each year for the last 10 years across the country. He recently played in the San Juan Islands and residencies at various venues such as Sycamore Den in San Diego. Ezekiel has just completed touring the U.S. playing in venues of all varieties.
