We are Lay Low Acoustic! Based out of Pacific Beach, San Diego, we've been playing live music for 8+ years. From original music, to instrumental surf rock, to cover songs from a variety of genres and decades, we'll play it all. We own all the necessary equipment needed to play any size venue, from small intimate spaces, to large open areas. She also is a one time winner and 4 time San Diego Music Award nominee. Assaulting the piano with her fingers, elbows and anything else she can, Taryn is not your typical piano player. He has helped create lifetime memories setting the perfect mood for celebrations including Weddings, Birthdays, Gala Events, Sensational Parties, and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and countless International Festive Gatherings of all sizes in opulent venues around the USA including The Beverly Hills Hotel, Fairmont Grand Del Mar, Ritz Carlton Dana Point, the Hotel Del Coronado, and the Vintage Club, Segovia, and other premier country clubs and private homes in Southern California. He has extensive experience with orchestral and theater performances including: Accordion soloist for The Lord Of The Rings Symphony with Howard Shore and The Atlanta Symphony and Chorus, Featured accordionist with San Diego Symphony performing with Itzhak Perlman; soloist for the films The Godfather, Pixar's Ratatouille In Concert and Disney's Mary Poppins; with the Broadway cast of “Fiddler on the Roof” and Tony Award winning stars Kelli O'Hara, Alice Ripley, Danny Burstein and Susan Egan. Also as accordion soloist - Osvaldo Golijov's Azul Cello concerto and Leonard Bernstein's “Mass”, La Jolla Symphony; Soloist San Diego Symphony The Godfather Live; Soloist for the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam with the Hilton Head Symphony; San Diego Repertory Theater: Musical Director The Threepenny Opera for which he won the San Diego Theater Critic's Circle Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Musical Direction. He was the onstage piano soloist at the La Jolla Playhouse with Neal Patrick Harris in a world premier by the Pulitzer Prize winning author, director and Sondheim creative partner James LaPine. Mark has performed at The Berkeley Rep, Cygnet Theatre, Lamb's Players Theater, and with the San Diego Opera and he has worked extensively at the University Of California San Diego. Mark is the accompanist at Temple Solel in Cardiff by the Sea and Musical Director at Vision Center for Spiritual Living. "Mark is a brilliant musician, masterful pianist and accordionist, and a great teacher, with a huge heart. He's easy to work with and has insightful contributions. Roger Friend’s musical career spans over 4 decades of diverse experience. Touring in more than 100 countries, with elements of all origins has given him vast international musical experience. He is a high level, multi-faceted drummer and percussionist. As an educator and percussion facilitator Roger is always motivated to inspire and encourage aspiring drummers to grow and achieve on their own paths. Both private and classroom lessons are available. Performing clinics in stores and other facilities to promote a product, while working with many leading manufacturers in marketing and design is yet another outlet for his deep passion for drums and the drumming community. The Boundary Birds play unique renditions of classic favorites, songs by Sheryl Crow, Michael Jackson, Lou Reed, One Republic, Bruno Mars, Fleetwood Mac, and many many more! Fronted by female vocalist and guitarist, DeBlois Milledge, the Boundary Birds have 5 studio albums of original music, and 5 hours of classic hits prepared for your party or event. We use two Bose L-1 sound systems in stereo, along with an 18 inch Mackie subwoofer and two 15 inch EV speakers in stereo to give plenty of high quality volume, that sounds great at the back of the room, without blowing your head off at the very front. Rhythm section masters Danny Campbell and James East make sure that the people have a lot of fun dancing, and the PA packs plenty of volume! Their Americana vibe is perfect for summer time settings such as patios and pools, or lower volume sophisticated clubs and hotels. The Boundary Birds feature some of Southern California's finest talent on guitar, (Jamie Kime, Ricky Z, David Carano, Billy Thompson), the lead player is always cookin', and singer DeBlois' apple pie with ice cream voice is just the thing to sweeten it up.
