Two Turtles Duo

Mike Reyes and Rafa Alvarez have been playing together since their time at SDSU around 2014. They officially formed The Two Turtles Duo in 2021 and released their first album, "Crossing Over" in May of 2023. They arrange, compose and perform jazz, pop, video game, and their own original music. They perform all around San Diego County for local eateries, music venues and private events. Brad was born in Toronto, Canada and is an award-winning singer/guitarist. From his home in Orange County, he has built a strong fan base in Southern California. Omega Three, shortly, is an orchestration of angst. Above all, it's intent is to produce concise songs to conserve the nature of the music created by the band. Our recordings are purposefully created with the intent of capturing and preserving a raw musical atmosphere, that of which drinks from a well that is representative of the human experience. That being said, our referential nature alludes to noise rock, post-hardcore, punk, hard rock and attempts to pay homage to bands like At The Drive-In, Refused, Drive Like Jehu (our local San Diego heroes), and The Mars Volta. Howdy! I'm a solo singer/songwriter from Texas now studying at UCSD. I play both originals and covers of many styles, from Frank Sinatra to John Mayer. I will learn any requested songs to fit an event as well. I often perform solo jazz music at private and televised events, weddings, and upscale restaurants, along more modern contemporary and well known songs at casual venues and restaurants, and am very flexible to meet a client's need. I bring all necessary gear and take up a very small footprint if needed.
