Acoustic blues, roots of rock, folk, classic country and original material. My song "Roof of Hell" was awarded second place in the San Diego Songwriters Guild "Performing Songwriter Competition". It's inspired by the 200+ year old haiku by Kobayashi Issa : “In this world we walk on the roof of hell gazing at flowers” I have many years of experience performing live and enjoy interacting with audiences.

My name is Lee Melton, a musician here in Carlsbad. I have officially been playing gigs in San Diego area since May of 2022. I had played music for some local bars and friends in Florida during college, but really got pushed by my wife and kids to play music for folks here in California. My performances are driven by my voice and accompanied by my acoustic guitar. I really enjoy all genres of music from multiple generations. I tend to keep the music upbeat with the rhythm of the guitar and do my best to read the crowd with song selection.
